I bought a 2008 Citi Sport 1.4i about a year ago.
After taking a closer look at the bonnet, i had it resprayed.
The panel beater i went to said it was a terrible job it had like tiny craters in the paint and almost spider like veins.
I had it resprayed. But the panel beater told me that It WOULD happen again due to heat etc, as the bonnet had been filled.
Now low and behold it did happen again. Now this time similar problems occured. But is it because the panelbeater did a bad job or is it because the the bonnet had been filled that the paint is freaking out.
Is this because the bonnet wasnt prepared properly that its doing this or is it the bonnet itself?

Bodyfiller on a bonnet or any real straight surface is a bad idea.
Replace the panel Its cheap enough

Re: Bonnet Respray - Need a New Bonnet
Problem is this
The bonnet flexes, due to heat from the sun and from the engine, so it expands and contracts.
The body filler is hard, it cannot do that, therefore, it will crack,
This is the reason why most panel beaters will replace a bonnet for the tiniest flaw.
You can use spot putty, but anything bigger then an R2 coin, and your asking for a comeback...
