thanks Nic appreciate the effort , even if it's a section like the FAQ section it will be great , each car can have it's own thread and the road test section can be built up as much as possible

it would be a great informative section imho. iirc i have something on the citi.com or citi life, cant remember which  :P
He He - Let's start getting them up then and I'll sort them out

Cheers
Nic

I don't understand...

The 9A 2.0 Liter engine is 100KW and not 110KW. The ABF is 110KW. In addition, the KR engine which was only 1.8 Liters was 102KW!

So how can the 9A engine be 110KW! CAR IS TALKING RUBBISH.

EVEN OVERSEAS every contact states the 9A is 100KW on the Flywheel.

:)

I thought I was the only one who noticed that  . Also under fueling they mentioned Kjet, correct me if im wrong but that was phased out on the 1.8 KR, the engine pics didnt look like mechanical injection either...

Our South African big bumpers were unique that they used the AAL 2.0l 16v motors from the overseas Passats. No other GTI in any other market used the AAL in the MK2 shape Golf/Jetta. And yes, it was still Kjetronic.

The 9A was an import motor and as far as I know was not used in local cars.
