I tried it on mine - doesn't work. I talked to Sarel this morning and he reckon you got to reset it via Vag Com, don't know if he was yanking my chain or not...MeanTdi wrote:http://www.vwclub.co.za/phpbb3/viewtopi ... =5&t=45359

Re: Polo Vivo Reset Service Light?
All the vw's i have owned had a description in the manual as to how to do it. Even the newish audi i own. So maybe try to read the manual. I know it's not manly or whatever but they are given with the car for a reason.

Re: Polo Vivo Reset Service Light?
According to the manual:
1) Switch off the ignition
2) Press and hold the reset knob for the trip meter
3) Turn the ignition on and turn the reset knob clockwise. The display will return to normal mode.
I will try this tomorrow and report back here...

Re: Polo Vivo Reset Service Light?
OK, so i tried all possible combinations of pushing, holding (up to a minute) or turning the reset knob and nothing happened. The display just reverts back to where it was before I started. Looks like what Sarel said might have some merit after all. (I've reset service indicators on many cars so I've got a pretty good idea of how it's suppose to go)Torker wrote:According to the manual:
