Morning guys.
So the weekend has come n gone, yesterday I started my gf car, velociti, and could hear the motor rev up through all the speakers, after a while it went away. This morning on her way to work she says the interference happened again and the radio went completely dead. After she gave it a PK it worked again with no interference.
Any suggestions before I strip it out tonight to see what's happening, thanks guys.

Re: Intermittent interference
I suspect a faulty ground connection. Would that be battery and amp? Any other place?

Re: Intermittent interference
If it works then starts causing trouble again it must be forgetting about the pk it received. Maybe it needs a harder pk.

Re: Intermittent interference
Toss the head unit in the bin. Or send it in for repairs.
PK solution means it has faulty connections.

Re: Intermittent interference
It's pretty brand new head unit. Maybe a year old. The wiring got redone ,had a few issues after that with loose connections on the amp and then the fuse popped. Got a new fuse and all was well until the other day. So far it has behaved, Will be having a look this weekend, just to check all the connections and wires. Will post what I find

Re: Intermittent interference
Makes sure the amp ground point is direct on to metal.

Re: Intermittent interference
Try a alternator suppressor. It worked on my polo.
