Golf MKV 1.9 TDi RCD 310 Battery drain

Good Day VDubbers.

I have golf 5 2006 1.9 tdi. My car came with a rcd 300 headunit. I upgraded to a rcd 310 headunit that came off a golf 6 GTi. It was just plug and play and everything works perfectly however its draining my battery and i know its the headunit thats causing this as i checked other areas. Is there any solution to this problem at minimal cost?
