Updating maps on Nav

Post by RayRay »

Good morning all

I have searched online but I couldn't find any answer

Where or how does one update the maps and the system ( if needed ) on a MMI 3g high system

Its an Audi A5.

Thanks :)

Dealership? There must be a way to download maps if they are available online and then load via CD\DVD\USB?

Thanks I heard the dealer's are very expensive just for a update,

I do have a cd,dvd, memory card slot though but I haven't found any website with maps of south Africa as well as where and how to actually do this.

download waze on your cellphone. Way cheaper and has constant traffic updates so diverts around bad ares. Generally from the dealer you have to buy a disc and they are arounf R12k +
Thi is the one thing I have not been able to copy ever.
I have satnav in 3 of my cars and I'd rather use waze.

Thanks, I do use my cellphone for short trips, but when I do long trips I need to mount my phone somewhere, get it to charge and all that so just thought it would be more convenient to get this updated, but I get what you're saying though its not worth it :) ill just use it as a party piece then

I do as panic does, Waze, on short and long trips. I can't actually recall ever using the on-board SatNav.
