Android double din units

Post by Spooln_4 »

Hi guys, I'm seeing more and more of these units on the market. But how good are they? What's the outputs like? They not too expensive I see but I'm just worried about the sound quality etc.. Anyone have experience with these?

Got one from Audiosources. D90 610.
Sound is fine.

My screen died though. They were willing to replace on warranty but I had to send the unit back. Didn't bother sorting it out.

Besides the screen issue my complaints with the unithe are

Making a call on Bluetooth the sound the the other person was distorted. Other people with the same unit didn't really have the same complaint though.

Boot time is really slow. Maybe 25 seconds.
They have new units now with a 0 second boot time. Those must be better.

It might be easier to use the unit if you know Chinese !!!
It's not that bad but it has typical Chinese instructions.

Otherwise it's fine.
Cool features tourq pro built in. So you can see consumption etc, cant remember what else it had.

Looks oem

All the standard android stuff maps apps etc

It has enough features mirror link, you can connect up a 3g dongle

If it was manufactured by alpine it would be a super hit!!!

Would I buy another one.
Maybe one of the 0 second start up ones

Thanks for your input. I've read about some guys complaining about poor sound quality on some of these units. Yeah an alpine unit will be great but I can just think how much it will cost.. Lol. Still in two minds about getting one. If I do get one I will report my experiences here.

I was quoted around R35k for:

The Golf 6 unit should be "a bit cheaper" though:

Tiguan MK2 1.4 TSI Comfortline
