New UK member

Post by X-Man »

Hi,
I've been recently contacted by Adi who is a member of this forum (which I've never heard of before) looking for turbos (I'm selling turbos and related parts for TDI cars) and he is the reason I'm joining you to offer my services. Well I know that my introduction looks like an advert but well I'm just being honest ;) Anyway I hope me joining the forum will be a good thing not only for me but also for those looking for quality uprated turbochargers here. Personally I drive black Skoda Octavia mk2 1.9TDI BXE 4x4 which is also a VAG car (not sure if Skoda is known brand in SA?) and so far it's only mapped to 180bhp with basic hybrid turbo which I'm going to replace with some quick spooling hybrid with billet compressor wheel good for 210bhp (quick spool and low end torque is my main priority)
Here is the most recent dyno:

As you can see the torque is pretty low due to unsuccessful experiment with using 5.0TDI injectors they obviously work but flow less than stock PD105 ones... PD150 ones are waiting already to be fitted though...

cheers

Welcome to the forum. :hi:

It's always nice having the overseas guys here sharing their knowledge and experiences of different countries. I hope the mods/admins don't give you trouble for your "sales" post.

Hope you enjoy your stay.

advertiser fees yeah I know nothing is free in this world any more ;) for now I just want to find out how big is the VW owners community in SA and how popular is tuning and car modifications, and how people do this on the other side of the globe.... BTW I would probably be willing to participate in some race car build project supplying a turbocharger at discounted price in exchange for some good (honest) review on the forum not sure if forum founders/administrators would be interested in such thing. I can get pretty much any turbo build to required spec.
